Turf Delivery Information

PLEASE NOTE: Turf is delivered on a pallet and can only be delivered to the kerbside. We cannot collect the wooden pallet/s which you will be expected to utilise or dispose of.

Your turf is cut fresh to order and can be delivered next day providing you order before the cut off time (cut off time depends on the time of year). The majority of deliveries are achieved via pallet courier on 18 ton rigid trucks as these are ideally suited for reaching the majority of UK addresses. They measure 8ft 2” (2.51m) wide x 12ft (3.65m) high x 32ft5” (9.88m) long. The turf is unloaded using a manual pallet trolley which is lowered to the road by the tail lift on the truck. The pallet trolley has small wheels and is pulled by the driver to the kerbside. For the delivery to be successful the surface must be flat and even. They cannot pull the trolley on earth, grass, gravel or similar. The turf and topsoil are heavy (up to 1000 kilos) so the driver cannot push or pull the goods up or down a slope.

If you wish the goods to be placed on your driveway then a flat solid surface such as tarmac or a paved drive is required, no slopes or kerbs.

With the above in mind please inform us of any issues that may affect delivery at your delivery address i.e. height, weight or width restrictions, off-loading or parking restrictions. This then allows us to discuss any potential delivery issues with the pallet courier and make special arrangements or inform you if we feel unable to achieve delivery and therefore offer a refund.

Unfortunately if delivery cannot be achieved due to a reason you failed to make us aware of the full cost of the distribution and products will be charged to you.

Delivery

We are proud to say that the majority of our deliveries arrive on time. However, please be aware that sometimes circumstances beyond anyone’s control can cause delays i.e. extreme weather, road traffic accidents, road works and occasionally vehicle breakdowns or IT failures. If your delivery is delayed for any reason we will make every effort to keep you updated.

If you opt for a timed delivery and the delivery is delayed we will refund the additional charge paid.

We recommend that you make arrangements for trade’s people to carry out work on your behalf only after your goods have been delivered.

Deliveries run from Tuesdays to Saturdays. You can opt for any delivery date to suit you in advance or you can order for next working day delivery as long as you place your order before 12 noon. There are also AM options to choose from for an extra fee.

KERBSIDE DELIVERY

PLEASE NOTE: Estimated Time of Delivery cannot be supplied on the "Working Day to 7pm" delivery service.

Goods are delivered to kerbside, as near as possible to the delivery address that you provide. We use a mixed fleet of vehicles to deliver our product across the UK. The largest of these being 44 Tonne articulated vehicles which measure 16.5 meters long and 2.13 meters wide and weighs when fully loaded 44 Tonnes. Also 18 tonne rigid trucks ideally suited for reaching the majority of UK addresses. Please inform us of any issues that may affect delivery to your address i.e height, weight or width restrictions, off-loading or parking restrictions. This then allows us to discuss any potential delivery problems with the pallet network and either make special arrangements or inform you if we feel unable to achieve delivery and offer a refund. Unfortunately if delivery cannot be achieved due to a reason you failed to make us aware of the full cost of the distribution and products will be charged to you.
