A Brief Description of Smooth Stalked Meadow Grass
Please don’t be put off by the word “meadow”. We’ve chosen a variety of Poa pratensis that looks nothing like its agricultural cousins. It does, however, share some characteristics.
Leaves are boat shaped and the roots are wonderfully robust. In fact, if your lawn gets lots of wear and tear, Smooth Stalked Meadow grass has a wonderful way of spreading its rhizomes and popping up new plants to fill in any gaps.
If it’s allowed to flower, smooth stalked meadow grass has wonderfully light, feathery seed heads.
