Garden sheds with green credentials. Call it what you will – “man cave”, “she-shed”, ”summer house” “emporium” “garden room” – Everybody loves (and needs) a shed.
But oh my goodness. When you’re upstairs, looking out of the window on the shed roof – isn’t it bland? And what a waste of space that roof is…wouldn’t it be good if you could grow plants on it?
Well, you can.
If your shed is sturdy enough to take the weight, you can top it off with a layer of plants. Not only will it look amazing, it will help to keep the building cool in summer and warm in winter. Plus, you’ll be seeing a lot more bees, butterflies, beneficial insects and birds in your garden too.
